Winners named in Lopue’s table tennis tournament

The 2018 Lopue’s National Open Invitational Table Tennis Championship concluded over the weekend at the Lopue’s San Sebastián Annex Building in Bacolod City, where winners emerged in four categories.

Robert Arteche won the veterans category; Rudolfo Palermo swept the men’s executive division; the Philippine Table Tennis Federation team won the women’s open; and Lopue’s Table Tennis Association (LOPTTA-A) won the men’s open, sealing back-to-back championships.

The competition was organized by LOPTTA, headed by Dr. Leonito Lopue, who noted, “Table tennis has gone down to the grassroots level,” highlighting the abilities exhibited by high school and college table tennis players./PLL, WDJ

 

LOPTTA-A, comprised of Rodel Valle, John Paul Gubaton, and John Michael Castro, won the men’s open, sealing back-to-back championships.
LOPTTA, composed of Marell Lagunday, Rose Jean Fadol, Micah Tanate, and Ann Gella Borbon, took second place in the women’s open.
