Two suspected drug users were arrested by police, Monday afternoon, at Purok 1 in Barangay Minoyan, Murcia, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the suspects as 24-year-old Renhard Francisco, a resident of the said area; and 26-year-old Jeshreel Embang, a resident of Barangay San Miguel, located in the said municipality.

Murcia municipal police chief, Police Chief Inspector Roberto Indiape, said around 3:00 p.m., their station received a complaint from a local resident reporting individuals engaging in drug use in the area.

Upon arrival, officers witnessed Francisco and Embang allegedly using suspected shabu, prompting cops to make the arrest.

Police recovered drug paraphernalia with traces of suspected shabu on the premises.

Both Francisco and Embang are presently detained at the Murcia Municipal Police Station and are facing illegal drugs charges./DGB, WDJ
