A laborer was declared dead on the spot after he was recently gunned down by a fellow laborer at Sitio Pinulakan in Barangay Biak na Bato, La Castellana, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the fatality as 29-year-old Jonathan Gacita, a resident of the said area.
La Castellana police chief, Police Chief Inspector Irma Teoxon, said Gacita’s remains were found by his sister, Jenelyn, prompting her to call police.
Investigators determined Gacita was killed after sustaining four gunshot wounds to his chest.
Upon interviewing several witnesses, they determined the shooting was perpetrated by 44-year-old Dante Rabor, a resident Sitio Cot-cot, located in the said barangay.
Teoxon said the shooting stemmed from an incident where Gacita was engaged in a heated argument with Rabor earlier this month.
Police are now conducting a manhunt operation against Rabor, who is currently facing murder charges./DGB, WDJ
