A woman is currently confined to a hospital after reportedly being mauled by a man Thursday afternoon for spreading gossip in Bacolod City’s Barangay 27.

Police have refused to disclose the name of the victim, but confirmed she is 58 years old and a resident of the said neighborhood.

Based on testimony by the victim, she was involved in an argument with the suspect, identified only by the alias “Turing,” regarding gossiping.

During the confrontation, the victim claimed she was assaulted by the suspect and repeatedly slammed against a wall.

The victim was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) after sustaining wounds to her forehead, hands, among other parts of her body.

Police are presently investigating the incident.
