A newly-identified drug dealer was arrested by Silay City police following a buy-bust operation late Thursday evening at Sitio Cabug in the city’s Barangay Guinhalaran.

Police identified the suspect as 38-year-old Erick Ardenio, a resident of the said barangay.

Silay City police chief, Police Superintendent Noel Polines, said the station’s Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) moved in after Ardenio handed one sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover cop in exchange for P500.

A search of the suspect further yielded 18 more sachets of suspected shabu with an overall street value of P10,000.

Ardenio faces illegal drugs charges and is detained at the Silay City Police Station./DGB, WDJ
