Two arrested for brandishing guns in Calatrava

Two individuals were arrested after they were caught brandishing firearms at Sitio Telim in Barangay Suba, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the suspects as 60-year-old Fidel Benalayo and 59-year-old Vevencio Benelayo, both residents of the said barangay.

Calatrava municipal police said they were conducting a routine patrol, when they spotted the suspects carrying two improvised rifles, prompting cops to make an arrest.

Both suspects are presently detained at the Calatrava Municipal Police Station and face illegal possession of firearms charges./DGB, WDJ
