Moises Padilla Mayor Magdaleno Peña recently led the wedding of 44 couples in the municipality last Tuesday.

According to a statement released by the municipal government, the mass wedding was officiated by La Carlota City Regional Trial Court-Branch 63 Judge Cyclamen Fernandez.

In his speech, Peña advised the newlyweds to make sure they take their role as parents seriously for their children or future children.

He also encouraged them to raise their offspring as “good citizens.”

The mayor said it is their responsibility to take good care of the children’s needs, health, and to provide them with good education.

Peña also vowed assistance from the local government, as a means to help them fulfill their roles as responsible parents./DGB, WDJ
