Ceres, Aguilas lead 29-man Azkals squad against Fiji

Eight Ceres-Negros FC players and six from Davao Aguilas FC are among the 29-man Philippine men’s national football, the Azkals, scheduled to meet Fiji in a friendly match tomorrow, along with their next 2019 AFC Asian Cup third qualification round match against Tajikistan next week.

The busmen selected to join the national team include defenders Junior Munoz, Jeffrey Christiaens, Carlos de Murga, and Sean Kane; and midfielders Kevin Ingreso, Manuel Ott, Patrick Reichelt, and Mike Ott.

Meanwhile, both Younghusbands, Phil and James, lead the Davao Aguilas contingent, which consists of keeper Nicholas O’Donnell; defenders Tyler Matas and Simone Rota; and midfielders Dylan De Bruycker and Dennis Villanueva.

Former Ceres midfielder Iain Ramsay, who currently plays for Malaysia Premier League club Felda United FC, was also called up for national duty./JSG, WDJ
