A motorcycle driver was killed on the spot, while another was seriously injured, following a collision between two motorcycles in Barangay Robles, La Castellana, Negros Occidental, late Sunday evening.

Police identified the fatality as 54-year-old Eduardo Hilogo, a resident of Hacienda Nahalinan in the said barangay; while the injured was named as 21-year-old George Sulana, a resident of Hacienda Canlaon, Barangay Sag-ang in the said municipality.

Traffic investigators from the La Castellana Police Station said Hilogo, along with his passenger Emilio Aloba, were traveling along the national highway when he collided head-on with Sulana’s motorcycle.

Aloba managed to emerge unscathed from the collision, while Hilogo was declared dead on the spot after succumbing to multiple injuries.

Sulana, meanwhile, was rushed to a hospital in Bacolod City.

Police believe one of the motorcycle drivers may have not noticed the other prior to the collision./DGB, WDJ
