Negros Occidental Provincial Board Member Alain Gatuslao said the provincial government wants a consultation in the province on the proposed revisions to the 1987 Constitution and the shift to federalism..

In a radio interview yesterday, Gatuslao, who chairs the Provincial Board Committee on Laws and Ordinances, said he sent invitation-requests to the 22-member consultative committee, chaired by former Chief Justice Reynato Puno, on Tuesday.

He said they proposed the consultation be conducted on April 14 at the Provincial Capitol Social Hall.

Gatuslao said he coursed the invitations through Fr. Ranhilo Aquino of San Beda University and Gen. Ferdinand Bocobo, who are members of the committee.

“My contacts in the committee said they are actually planning to conduct regional consultations from April to May,” he said./DGB, WDJ
