The Iloilo City government recently initiated the Pag-ulikid sang Syudad program, which is intended to enhance city services pertaining to concerns on healthcare, environment, education, drug-use, and poverty.
“We want to reach out to the community and make young ones and elders feel the city is willing to help them,” Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III explained. “We’ll improve the anti-illegal drugs program of the city, add sports programs for the youth, fast track the release of aid to fire victims, and continue to give financial assistance to indigents.”
The mayor noted the effort is intended to increase the sense of urgency in helping those in need through the “care program.”/WDJ
