The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) suspended the Karatedo Federation of the Philippines (KFP) after a PSC task force discovered suspected irregularities committed by the federation in relation to an event in Germany last year.

The federation took part in the 20-day camp in Germany in July 2017 in preparation for last year’s Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, which took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In addition to the indefinite suspension, the PSC is also suspending financial assistance to the KFP, along with relinquishing rights to office space for the organization in the PhilSports Complex, located in Pasig City.

Meanwhile, the task force also recommended the federation return all money appropriated by the PSC for the said training camp./JSG, WDJ
