Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. yesterday congratulated Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) cadet and Kabankalan City native John Vallador for graduating at the top of his class.

“It is with great pride as a Negrense that Vallador emerged as valedictorian of his class,” Marañon said.

The governor stated he is “humbled” by Vallador’s story, where, despite difficulties early in life, the PNPA cadet rose above it to become “a model law enforcer.”

“He is indeed an inspiration to all young Negrenses,” the governor added.

Vallador is scheduled to receive a plaque of merit and the Presidential Kampilan Award from President Rodrigo Duterte during graduation rites on March 21 in Silang, Cavite./DGB, WDJ
