After being named this year’s top graduate of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA), Kabankalan City-native, Police Cadet John Vallador, said he is still hoping to meet his estranged father.
In a radio interview yesterday morning, Vallador said, despite leaving him and his mother, he said his father remains an inspirational figure in his life and hopes his father is proud of him.
He noted becoming a police officer has always been his dream since he was a boy; adding, graduating at the top of his class is a bonus.
The PNPA cadet admitted entering the PNPA was difficult and he did not expect to become a top graduate, saying his fellow classmates are also “topnotchers” upon entering the said institution.
Vallador added he is used to being far from family, after he was left in the care of his aunt as his mother worked as a domestic helper in Spain.
The police cadet is scheduled to receive a plaque of merit and the Presidential Kampilan Award from President Rodrigo Duterte during graduation rites on March 21 in Silang, Cavite.
Prior to enrolling at PNPA, he graduated from Esteban R. Abada Memorial School-West and Fortress College./DGB, WDJ
