Iloilo City government officials confirmed the locality is anticipating visits by investors from Germany and China, while the Indonesian embassy economic team is expected in the city this week.
“The biggest contributor to our local economy is the services sector,” explained Local Economic Investment and Promotion Office head Ritchel Gavan. “Next is the tourism industry.”
The British Chamber of Commerce Philippines (BCCP) recently hosted a trade mission in Iloilo City, where BCCP chairman Chris Nelson called the city an “economic hotspot.”
“The trade mission was successful and, as a result, it heightened the interest of global investors to Iloilo City,” Gavan said./WDJ
