Most Reverend Jose Romeo O. Lazo will be installed on April 17, 2018 as the sixth archbishop of the Jaro Archdiocese in Iloilo.

Fr. Joenick Territorio, Judicial Vicar of the Archdiocese of Jaro, disclosed this in a media briefing Monday afternoon.

To recall, the 69-year-old Lazo was appointed by Pope Francis last month after the resignation of Archbishop Angel Lagdameo.

Territorio said the installation ceremony will begin around 9 a.m. at the Jaro Metropolitan Cathedral and will be attended by an estimated 200 priests from Iloilo, Antique and Guimaras provinces.

Lazo is a native of San Jose de Buenavista, Antique and currently serves as the fourth bishop of San Jose De Antique.

Territorio clarified that Lagdameo still remains as the administrator of archdiocese until Lazo takes over./WDJ
