Two people were left injured after they were electrocuted over the weekend in separate incidents in Barangays Pahanocoy and Mandalagan in Bacolod City.
Police identified the victims as three-year-old Kim Empaces, a resident of Purok Mainuswagon, Barangay Cabug; and 27-year-old Danny Martin Maravilla of Barangay Alijis.
Based on police reports, Empaces was playing inside a gym in Barangay Pahanocoy when the minor accidentally touched an open electrical wire while climbing a railing.
Empaces was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) after sustaining burns to her right hand.
Meanwhile, around 10:20 a.m., Maravilla, who was working as a lineman for a telecommunications company, was installing internet wiring atop an electric post when his head touched the primary electric wire.
Maravilla was rushed to the Our Lady of Mercy Specialty Hospital for treatment after sustaining burns to his face and left leg./DGB, WDJ
