Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. turned over a total P6,652,705 last week to barangays across the province.

Barangays from EB Magalona, La Castellana, Bago City, Binalbagan, Moises Padilla, Himamaylan City, Candoni, Hinigaran, and Cauayan each received funding for projects including road re-gravelling projects, water system infrastructure, local entitlement programs, streetlight installation and repair, among other items.

La Castellana and Cauayan each received over P1 million each, comprising over half the allotment with a total P3,651,505 in government funding. Cauayan alone received over P2.1 million./WDJ
