Five armed men reportedly burglarized a house and held a family at gunpoint late Friday evening at Purok Dinapalan in Barangay Ma-ao, Bago City.

Police refused to identify the family due to security concerns.

Based on a report by Bago City police, the victims were about to go to sleep when two armed men broke into their bedroom and declared a hold-up.

Three other suspects entered a separate room belonging to two brothers and ordered everyone to lie face down on the floor.

One of the victims, a 17-year-old girl, was also held at gunpoint by one of the suspects, resulting in the victim fainting due to fear.

The suspects proceeded to rob the home and its residents, taking a wallet, laptop, mobile phones, and grocery items.

The stolen items are valued at P80,000.

The armed men then fled towards an unknown direction while the girl was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

Bago City police are presently investigating the incident./DGB, WDJ
