A wanted man with alleged links to Albuerra, Leyte drug lord Kerwin Espinosa was arrested last Tuesday at Purok Hollowblocks in Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City.

Police identified the suspect as 54-year-old Victor Espina, a native of Sitio Kamibuan in Barangay Tambulilid, Ormoc City, Leyte, and a reported relative of retired Police Deputy Director General Leonardo Espina, who is also said to be linked with the drug lord.

Espina was arrested by Philippine National Police (PNP) Visayas Anti-Kidnapping Group operatives, who served the suspect a warrant of arrest issued by the Pasig City Regional Trial Court Branch 160.

The suspect reportedly kidnapped four Korean nationals in January 2015.

Also arrested in the said operation was Korean national Jon Jung Ji, currently a resident of Taguig City.

Espina was yesterday transported to PNP Headquarters at Camp Crame, where he faces charges./DGB, WDJ
