Victorias City police found several sachets of suspected shabu in the pages of a Bible, following a Wednesday raid of a suspected drug den along Sikatuna Street in Barangay 3 of the said city.
Police arrested 54-year-old Jose Ansuyon and 23-year-old Marvin Dioso, both residents of the said city; however, the target of the operation, Ansuyon’s 21-year-old son, Joshue, fled the scene.
According to Victorias City police chief, Police Superintendent German Garbosa, after the younger Ansuyon handed over one sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P400, the dealer realized he was transacting with an undercover police officer and fled the scene.
Police proceeded to arrest the elder Ansuyon and Dioso who were inside the suspected drug den.
A search of the place yielded the said bible, along with drug paraphernalia.
Dioso, meanwhile, yielded a tally sheet with different number combinations, which they suspect was being used for illegal gambling; along with P351 worth of suspected gambling money.
Garbosa added, the estimated value of the seized drugs to be around P5,000.
The arrested suspects are presently detained at the Victorias City Police Station, while cops continue their hunt down Joshue./DGB, WDJ
