A Manapla barangay captain reportedly committed suicide yesterday morning.

Manapla municipal police chief, Police Senior Inspector Julius Ceasar Colado, refused to name the said barangay captain.

According to Colado, the community official was found hanging inside their home.

Authorities immediately ruled out foul play after the victim’s family said the barangay official was suffering from health problems, which police believe is the primary reason why he would commit suicide./DGB, WDJ
