House Bill 3808, which proposes a permanent Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) office for Bacolod City, recently passed a House of Representatives committee.

In a radio interview yesterday, Bacolod City Lone District Rep. Greg Gasataya, who authored the bill, which has the endorsement of the PRC, said it was approved on Wednesday,

He noted a committee report will be produced before the bill is put before the plenary.

Gasataya also pointed out, with a PRC office in Bacolod City, those seeking to renew their licenses would no longer need to travel to Iloilo City to conduct their transaction.

Meanwhile, the congressman said a senator lent their support for the proposal and was open to sponsoring the measure before the Senate./DGB, WDJ
