BTTHS wins regional title

Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS) defeated Doña Montserrat Lopez Memorial High School of Silay City, 109-47, yesterday to capture the 2018 National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) regional title in San Carlos City.

Mart James Barrera led the victory with 26 points, followed by Harold Alarcon with 18 and Christian Gamao with 13.

The win earned the Bacolod City school a berth in the NBTC National Finals, set to take place next weekend, March 17, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

“It was a total team effort,” said BTTHS head coach Dexter Dy. “We really worked hard for this.”/JSG, WDJ
