An all-purpose utility vehicle crashed into a small house yesterday morning at Purok Lag-asan in Barangay Ubay, Pulupandan, Negros Occidental.

According to traffic investigators from the Pulupandan Municipal Police Station, the driver, who has requested not to be identified, claimed he was operating at a high-rate of speed when he noticed a pile of fallen sugarcane in the middle of the road.

The driver. unable to brake the vehicle in time, reportedly flew a few meters before crashing to a house owned by 70-year-old Arturo Yaon.

The driver suffered minor injuries, while Yaon and his family escaped unharmed as they were not at home at the time of the incident./DGB, WDJ
