The Negros Occidental provincial government yesterday turned over 30 layer cages, often used for poultry houses, worth a total P2.4 million to various organizations, local government units, schools, and the Negros First Ministries Association.
According to the Provincial Veterinary Office, each unit, which comes with ready-to-lay pullets, each costs P80,000.
Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. led the turnover at the Provincial Capitol, with a training conducted by Provincial Veterinarian, Dr. Renante Decena.
