The Iloilo provincial government recently turned over P5 million in financial assistance to the municipalities of Anilao, Badiangan, and San Rafael during a ceremony at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol.
P3 million went to Anilao for the construction of multipurpose halls for Barangays Badiang and Sambag Culob, along with improvements for the town’s Liga ng mga Barangay building; while P1.5 million went to Badiangan for the construction of a stage for Astorga Primary School and Budiaue Primary School, along with rehabilitation for an Inta Primary School building.
Anilao Mayor Lee Ann Debuque and Badiangan Mayor Serafin Villa, Jr. each received the funding from Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. on behalf of their respective locales.
The remaining half million, meanwhile, was donated to San Rafael for the reconstruction of Barangay Aripdip multipurpose pavement./JAN, WDJ
