Negros Occidental captured the 2018 Western Visayas Private Schools Athletic Association (WVPRISAA) secondary girls’ volleyball title after defeating Iloilo yesterday at the Iloilo Doctors’ College-College of Nursing gym.

After the Negrense squad, comprised of Shane Carmona, Alyssa Bertolano, Marianne Sotomil, and Joan Marie Monares, won the first match 25-23, 25-12, 25-12, the team battled in a decider, where they won 22-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-17.

The win earned Negros Occidental a berth in the upcoming National PRISAA, scheduled to take place in Tagbilaran City, Bohol./JSG, WDJ
