Officials from Pusan National University, located in Busan, South Korea, were in Iloilo recently to discuss potential opportunities for local students to earn their masters degree in information and communications technology (ICT) and engineering.
Dr. Dohoon Lee of the School of Electrical and Computer Science and Engineering, Dr. Kyungsim Yeon of the Global ICT Policy Course and Global Human Resource Development Alliance Research Center, and Jaeyun Lee of the Language Education Institute met with Provincial Administrator Raul Banias, Provincial Agriculturist Ildefonso Toledo, and Iloilo Public Employment Service Office (PESO) chief Francisco Heler, Jr.
“If we can send students there, they can train them,” said PESO-Iloilo Labor and Employment Officer I Jayrel Encontro. “By the time they graduate, those students can be future IT professors and specialists.”/JAN, WDJ
