Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) chair, Atty. Maphilindo Polvora, recently revealed bidding will open today at 2:00 p.m. for a P148 million garbage collection, hauling, and disposal contract with the city.
He noted, bidding will take place at the BAC Office, adding the contract will run from April to December of this year.
Polvora also confirmed a pre-bid conference was held two weeks ago, a requirement of RA 9184, or the Government Procurement Reform Act, where current contractor IPM-Construction and Development Corporation (IPM-CDC) was the only one in attendance.
The city government previously provided a three-month extension of their contract with IPM-CDC, which spanned from January to March of this year./DGB, WDJ
