PDP-Laban-Negros Occidental Secretary-General Yves Akol yesterday said the local chapter has yet to discuss political plans for 2019.

Akol, who recently received his official designation from national party leadership, said they recognize Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. as the highest-elected provincial official, but have not yet received a memorandum regarding his official appointment with the party.

Marañon was earlier designated PDP-Laban provincial chair.

Akol also revealed the party designated Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) president, Atty. Clint Aranas, as Negros Occidental PDP-Laban provincial president.

He said the party’s future political plans, especially in the province, could be discussed with Aranas soon./DGB, WDJ
