A 13-year-old girl was reportedly raped by two burglars last week in Barangay Calumangan in Bago City, Negros Occidental.
Based on a radio interview yesterday morning, the victim’s father, only identified as ‘Toto,’ said the suspects, with covered faces and wearing jackets, entered his house in the early morning hours of February 15.
Based on an investigation by Bago City police, the suspects first tied up the victim’s mother and her 10-year-old sibling, whose mouths were covered to prevent them from screaming.
The suspects then rummaged through their belongings, taking P500 and a broken mobile phone.
They proceeded to enter the victim’s room and blindfolded her before bringing her outside, where they took turns raping her.
The victim, meanwhile, told police she was unable to identify the assailants as they changed their voices.
A medical examination of the victim affirmed she was raped.
The victim’s father believes the suspects are residents of the area.
Bago City police are now following several leads./DGB, WDJ
