10 arrested in Taculing drug bust

Police Station 6 (PS6) anti-drug operatives arrested 10 people yesterday during a buy-bust operation at Purok Gonzaga in Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City.
Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) director, Police Senior Superintendent Francisco Ebreo, identified the target of the operation as 36-year-old Roy Guillero, a resident of Purok Star Apple in Barangay 27 of the said city.
Also arrested were Ali Forton, Kenneth Jacosalem, Jason Cardeñio, Nonito Aceldique, Niño Mira, Anecito Villaba, Estrelito Corsonada, Glenn Detosil, and Christian Khube Bautista.
Ebreo said operatives, led by PS6 commander, Police Chief Inspector Jovil Sedel, moved in after Guillero handed one elongated sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer in exchange for P200.
Police arrested the nine other suspects after they were caught in the act of using illegal drugs in the area during the operation.
Police recovered a total 18 elongated sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, suspected drug proceeds amounting to P300, and the P200 marked money.
Ebreo added, the seized illicit substance was valued at P8,700 with an estimated overall weight of one gram.
All 10 suspects are presently detained at PS6 and face illegal drugs charges./DGB, WDJ
