Governor looks forward to a week one ‘could never forget’

During last weekend’s opening ceremonies for the 2018 National State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) meet, hosted by the University of Antique, Antique Governor Rhodora Cadiao addressed the gathered athletes, delegates, regional officials, and school officials, saying the upcoming sporting events will be a week they “could never forget.”

Also speaking at the event were Makati City first district Rep. Monsour Del Rosario; University of Antique president, Dr. Pablo S. Crespo, Jr.; San Jose de Buenavista Mayor Elmer C. Untaran; and Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) president, Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo, who formally opened the sporting event.

Among other events that took place during the opening ceremonies were a performance by the University of Antique Chorale, a performance by University of Antique students, a dance number performed by all the delegates, and a fireworks display.

A total 111 state universities and colleges are taking part in this year’s games./PLL, WDJ
