Western Visayas meets Soccsksargen in football opener

Central Philippine State University-San Carlos City, representing the Western Visayas in the ongoing National State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) meet in Antique, is set to open their football campaign against Region XII-Soccsksargen at the Binirayan Sports Complex in San Jose de Buenavista.

However, an “unexpected situation” with the facility is disrupting the schedule for the match, which is scheduled between 1:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight.

Those comprising the roster for the Western Visayas squad include David Caballero, Angelo Froyle Ledesma, Vincent Rito Ortigas, Adrian Tiongson, Jerald Paparon, Clifford Tecson, Christian Derick Binondo, Christian Paul Tenebroso, Jaypee Magnifico, Roynick Bernardo, Glen Frey Rigor, Kenneth Rafael, Neil Tenebroso, Rey Lester Oreta, Jonel Selibio, Jasper Layagon, and Arnel Christian Marcellana.

The Cordillera Administrative Region is also drawn in their group.

Meanwhile, those comprising the roster for the Western Visayas women’s futsal squad include Maria Christine Lyn Doctora, Sarah Jane Malda, Aylyssa Martinez, Shiela Mae Pestana, and Kristy Gill Belluga of the Iloilo State College of Fisheries; Hannah Lourelle Baga-an and Rose Ann Mae Derutas of West Visayas State University (WVSU); Jan Sen Lazarte and Marian Surnieda of the WVSU Calinog campus; Sarah Bito-on of Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College; and Johanna Martinez and Rosavi Gabales of Carlos Hilado Memorial State College./JSG, WDJ
