Bacolod City will be observing World Radio Day today, February 19, with a motorcade and exhibit opening at SM City Bacolod.

The motorcade, conducted in partnership with the Negros Occidental chapter of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster sa Pilipinas, will begin at the Bacolod Public Plaza at 9:00 a.m., with an expected 18 AM and FM radio stations participating.

The procession will make its way to SM City Bacolod, where an exhibit on the history and development of the radio industry in Bacolod City will open along the northwest Bridgeway at 10:00 a.m.

The exhibit will run until Saturday, February 24.

Meanwhile, on Friday, the KBP-Negros Occidental will hold the Tingog kag Handurawan Awards at the SMX Convention Center at SM City Bacolod, which honors and commemorates the contributions of Bacolod City radio personalities./WDJ
