DepEd-Iloilo assures food safety will be monitored

Department of Education (DepEd) Division of Iloilo Sports Coordinator Nicasio Valenzuela recently assured food preparation for those taking part in the ongoing 2018 Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association (WVRAA) meet at the Iloilo Sports Complex, will be closely monitored.

He explained the process will be observed from preparation to cooking, and awards for proper sanitation will be given out.

Valenzuela noted, similar policies are carried out during Palarong Pambansa.

Earlier this month, Iloilo Provincial School Board Secretary Jerry Bionat said the province was ready to host the regional sporting event after a total P22.7 million was cleared for the competition from the Iloilo provincial government./PLL, WDJ
