Asa Miller finishes 70th, Team Philippines exits Pyeongchang

Filipino-American skier Asa Miller finished the giant slalom event in 70th place over the weekend, ending the Philippines’ run at the ongoing 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Figure skater Michael Martinez, the other member of Team Philippines, was eliminated after failing to qualify for the men’s free skate last week.
Competing among a total 110 skiers, the athlete from Portland, Oregon finished with an overall time of 2:49.95. Miller completed his first run at 1:27.52, putting him in 81th place. He then managed to move up in the ranks after improving to 1:22.43 in his second run.
