Negrense players join volleyball tournament

Ten Negrense players will be taking part in the National Invitational Women’s Beach Volleyball Tournament, which begins today, February 16, at the Joe III Garden Beach Front at Villa Beach, located in the Arevalo district of Iloilo City.

The ten include Alexa Polidario and Erjane Magdato of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos; Sheryl Laborte and Loren Gamboa of St. John’s Institute; and Mahris Cosain and Patricia Escares of the University of St. La Salle; along with Margie Senas and Bianca Lizares.

In addition, Bea Tan will be part of the Beach Volley Republic team, while Gizelle Tan will join the Perlas-BanKo Lady Spikers.

The winner takes home P25,000, while second place wins P12,000.

The tournament is an official event of the ongoing Paraw Regatta Festival, which is scheduled to run through March 3./JSG, WDJ
