Drunk man arrested at a police checkpoint after yielding drugs to police

An apparently drunk man was arrested at a police checkpoint along Circumferential Road yesterday after being found in possession of illicit substances.

Police identified the suspect as 26-year-old Rodel Bantilan, a resident of Purok Sibucao in Barangay Banago, Bacolod City.

According to Police Station 3 (PS3) commander, Police Senior Inspector Jun Rey Batadlan, around 5:30 a.m., Bantilan was spotted by police and appeared to be inebriated.

Officers investigated the matter and found the suspect in possession of around three grams of suspected drugs, along with paraphernalia, hidden in his underwear.

The drugs were valued around P45,000.

Bantilan is currently detained in the Custodial Facility in PS3./JJA, WDJ
