Land Transportation   Office-Region VI (LTO-6) Director Roland C. Ramos recently traveled to Pilar, Capiz to discuss plans to establish an LTO extension office with local mayors. The project intends to create an office that would serve Balasan, Estancia, Carles, Sara, Concepcion, San Dionisio, Lemery, Batad, and President Roxas in Iloilo; and Pilar, Maayon, Pontevedra, Panay, and Panitan in Capiz.

Ramos met with Pilar Mayor Gideon Ike Patricio, Sara Mayor Ermelita Salcedo, Maayon Mayor Wilfredo Borres, among other municipal officials, wherein he pointed out the ongoing problem with unregistered vehicles, particularly motorcycles and tricycles.

Patricio pledged to donate property for the site of the office, along with construction, once the project is approved by the central LTO office./JSG, WDJ
