After Bacolod City residents experienced power interruptions Monday evening, the Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Ceneco) cited two Bacolod-Silay 69kV poles went down, which caused power interruptions for areas covered by the Burgos, Mt. View, Talisay, Lopez, and Panaogao (Silay) feeders.
While the utility co-op claimed power was fully restored to the Burgos, Mt. View, and Talisay feeders by 8:47 p.m. that evening, some customers report they did not have power restored until after 10:00 p.m.
According to Ceneco, power was restored to the remaining feeders yesterday afternoon.
Last month, Ceneco General Manager Sulpicio Lagarde warned of impending power rate increases, which he attributed to the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law./PLL, WDJ
