Capitol official dies after five-month battle with cirrhosis

The Negros Occidental provincial government recently revealed Special Project and Concerns Department head Ian de Ramos passed away after a five-month long battle with liver cirrhosis.

Doctors reportedly gave him six to eight months to live.

De Ramos was considered one of the top organizers of the annual Pana-ad sa Negros Festival, among other celebrations and programs put on by the provincial government.

He was also the Negros Occidental High School Class of 1989 batch president and was a nurse by profession.

The provincial official’s remains are presently at the Acropolis Memorial Park in Barangay Bata, Bacolod City./DGB, WDJ
