The World’s Strongest Man competition, which tests the strength of contestants through a variety of events, will be taking place in Manila from April 23 to May 6.
News of the event was recently revealed by the Department of Tourism (DOT); however, officials have yet to name a hosting venue.
The competition is comprised of several events, including the fridge carry, where contestants carry two refrigerators on a yoke; the carry and drag, which involves carrying anvils, anchors, and chains and dragging them to a certain point; the vehicle pull, where contestants have been witnessed tugging fire trucks and buses; among other contests.
The item chosen for the vehicle pull is often representative of the host city.
This is the first year the Philippines will be hosting the event./PLL, WDJ
