Nine Bacolodnons invited to compete

Nine Bacolod City-based table tennis players will be taking part in the 19th World Veteran Table Tennis Championships (WVC) at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, which is scheduled to run from June 18 to 24.

Local players invited include Monico Puentevella, Jr., Jorge Salustiano Carpintero, Inilpredo Rafael Granada, Arvin John Villaruel, Alberto Dichavez, Alexander Go, Rudy Sy, Jose Ernie Carpintero, and Mucius Gindap.

The competition is open to players over 40 years of age and will be divided into men and women’s singles and doubles competitions in 11 categories based on age, including one for those over 90 years old.

The event is the largest table tennis tournament in the world./JSG, WDJ
