Operatives of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) yesterday arrested an identified high-value target  following an operation at Abada Escay in Barangay Vista Alegre, Bacolod City.

Police identified the suspect as 28-year-old Chargotte De Asis, the target of the operation; however, Regin Tabara, who was present during the raid, was also arrested.

BCPO spokesperson, Police Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas, said CDEU operatives, led by CDEU head, Police Superintendent Nasruddin Tayuan, arrested De Asis after the suspect handed over one sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P1,000.

A search of De Asis’ residence further recovered three big and two small sachets of suspected shabu with a total weight of 17 grams and valued at P225,000.

Both De Asis and Tabara face illegal drugs charges and are presently detained at Police Station 7./DGB, WDJ
