Earlier this week, the 250 visiting Filipino-Canadians participated in Governor’s Night along the Capitol Grounds in Bacolod City.

The Negros Occidental Singing Ambassadors and the Ka-anyag Pilipinas Dance Company performed during the event.

Among government officials, those in attendance included Philippine Ambassador to Canada Petronila P. Garcia, Philippine Consul Greg Marie Mariño, Jeffrey Salik of the Philippine consulate in Ottawa, Deputy Consul General Bernadette Therese Fernandez, among others.

When the caravan visited Bacolod City recently, the group was invited by Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia, who welcomed them by suggesting they and their friends invest in the ‘City of Smiles.’/WDJ
