The Iloilo City government will be hosting a Rehabinasyon Roadshow and Town Hall today, February 9, a program launched by the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) as a response to a directive by the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD).

Through the program, the PCOO brings ICAD member-agency officials to explain specific government programs in detail, along with taking questions from those gathered.

According to a letter from PCOO Assistant Secretary Ramon L. Cualoping III to Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III, “The all-encompassing government campaign against illegal drugs aims to communicate to the public the harmonized programs of different government agencies, debunk alternative truths, and showcase the results and benefits of the government’s efforts to fight the drug menace.”

The program hopes to attract student-leaders, civil society leaders, faith-based organizations, local community leaders, among others, to participate./WDJ
