POC squeaks past Orange-AA Electrical in Game 3, takes the title

POC captured the 2017-2018 D’League title earlier this week after coming back from a double-digit deficit to defeat Orange-AA Electrical, 78-75, in Game 3 of the finals series at the STI-West Negros University gym.

Orange-AA Electrical opened the game in front, taking a 20-18 lead in the opening quarter. That advantage later extended to 38-25 at the half.

In the third period, however, Edcel Manday scored 15 points for POC, while Dave Docto added another 10, pulling their team within one point of their opponents. POC went into the final quarter down 58-57.

In the final period, POC managed to go on a 21-17 run, which sealed the championship.

Manday led the victory with 16 points, followed by Docto with 14.

Despite the loss, Mic Jara scored 17 points for Orange-AA Electrical./JSG, WDJ
