The Trinity Christian School (TCS) in Bacolod City is set to host the Jr. NBA Regional Selection Camp this weekend, from February 10 to 11, where talented youth basketball players have a chance at qualifying for the National Training Camp in Manila, scheduled to take place from May 19 to 20.
The event caters to both boys and girls, where they will engage in activities including tests and skills challenges, basketball drills and team exercises, and scrimmages.
The activities seek to test their physical capabilities, along with their “basketball smarts.”
“We are committed to providing proper guidelines to how the game should be played,” said NBA Philippines Managing Director Carlo Singson. “Jr. NBA Philippines has established itself as a platform to improve the youth basketball experience and promote an active and healthy lifestyle among the Filipino youth.”
The school hosted a Jr. NBA Clinic earlier this week; along with a kids’ clinic at the Natalio G. Velez gym in Silay City, which came to a close yesterday./JSG, WDJ
